Community Updates

Regular lawn mowing, shrub cutting, and weed control will continue in the coming months. For your comfort and well-being, please keep your windows and patio doors closed during the day while the landscapers work. This helps prevent pollen, allergens, and noise from entering your apartment, ensuring a more pleasant living environment for you.

The Quarterly Fire alarm and building sprinkler testing was just completed in June, and we are in the process of repairing all the deficiencies found during the inspection.

Juneteenth 2024 Celebration

We had a wonderful time celebrating Juneteenth with everyone who attended the event. It was a vibrant day filled with crafts, delicious food, refreshing drinks, lively games, and captivating live music—a true reflection of our community spirit and unity. Relive the joy and unity of our Juneteenth celebration through the images below!

Resident Spotlight 🔦

Miss Chapman

A highlight of the Juneteenth celebration was the crowning of Miss Chapman, a beloved community figure, as Miss Juneteenth 2024. Her recognition honors her significant contributions to the area's transformation from Columbia Point to Harbor Point.

Maintenance Notes

The swimming pool is now open. Please ensure safety by not running or horseplaying on the decks and paying attention to the pool rules.

Please always ensure that your HVAC units are accessible to the maintenance team by not keeping items in front of the doors or storing ANY items inside the area where the unit sits.

Scheduled pest control occurs every week to ensure a pest-free environment. Residents are requested to keep their units clutter-free and promptly dispose of any food waste and trash. Please store all grains and loose food items (such as rice, popcorn, cornflakes, etc.) in containers with lids. If you notice any pest issues in your unit, please report them to management promptly. Additionally, please dispose of all food items and discarded items in the large trash containers provided on the property

Seasonal Tips: 😎🌞Beat The Heat: Five tips for staying cool this summer💧🌴

  1. Stay Hydrated💧🥤: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as they can dehydrate you.

  2. Wear Light Clothing👕👗: Opt for loose-fitting, light-colored clothes made of breathable fabrics like cotton or linen.

  3. Use Fans and Air Conditioning🌀❄️: Keep cool indoors by using fans and air conditioning. If you don't have AC, spend time in air-conditioned public places like malls or libraries.

  4. Limit Outdoor Activities🏡🌳: Try to avoid strenuous activities during the hottest parts of the day, typically between 10 AM and 4 PM. If you need to be outside, take frequent breaks in the shade.

  5. Eat Light Meals🍉🥗: Eat smaller, lighter meals that are easier to digest. Fresh fruits and vegetables with high water content, like cucumbers and watermelon, can help keep you hydrated and cool.

Tech Tips: Protect Your Online Privacy and Security

Stay Safe Online 🌐

  1. Keep Everything Updated: Always update your software, apps, and devices to keep them secure.

  2. Use Antivirus Software: Install antivirus software and keep it updated to protect against harmful programs.

  3. Be Careful with Emails and Links: Don’t click on links or open attachments from unknown sources.

Secure Your Accounts 🔒

  1. Use Strong Passwords: Make passwords long and mix letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid using obvious information.

  2. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add extra security by requiring a second step to log in, like a code sent to your phone.

Guard Your Devices 🛡️

  1. Secure Your Home Wi-Fi: Use a strong password for your Wi-Fi network and change the default login info on your router.

  2. Be Careful with App Permissions: Only give apps the permissions they really need to function.

Avoid Scams 🚫

  1. Tech Support Scams: Don’t trust unsolicited calls or messages claiming to be tech support. Contact the company directly if unsure.

  2. Government Impersonation Scams: Be skeptical of calls or messages claiming to be from the government demanding payment or personal information. Verify through official channels.
